That was the response I got from the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! employee when I showed up for my 8am appointment. I was then told it would be 2pm when the truck would be ready. Why did I get up so fucking early again?
I ordered tires and made an appointment yesterday afternoon on the American Tire Depot website. They obviously want you to do it that way since they offer $20 off when you do. Maybe they should coordinate their appointment reservation system with their delivery schedule...
I made the appointment at 8am because I wanted to give myself plenty of time before I went down to Long Beach. Got to get some rest so I can be up at dawn to take beautiful pictures of cars being loaded in at !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

TL;DR: Online reservations suck. Tire shop employees not paid enough to give a fuck don't give a fuck. I like !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

That's an awesome looking car, I think I'd like it best with normal wheels/tires though, perhaps still in Gold though, I think I might like the gold, chrome wheels would look good too.

They look good riding on a lot of different wheels...I think you can't go wrong with mesh and a deep dish.
To clarify though, that's not my car. That's a photo I took at JCCS 2013 . The Toyotafest event I'm attending tomorrow is held at the same venue, and I'm staying on the Queen Mary in the background tonight.

Make sure you hit up the ToySport tent. I hope to hell Joel has his 2000GT there. And the 152E Celica.

Awesome sounds like a great time!
Personally I am not a huge fan of deep dish, at least not in the form shown above. But maybe it's also because of the odd camber these tires sit at, lift that thing up to it's darn rideheight, lol.

Yes. He posted some teasers a while ago of his install of Bilstein Coil-Overs and new Hayashi wheels on the Celica forum I'm on.

Oh...nice.
It's amazing to see someone mod a 2000GT...are those custom Hayashi's or is he using adapters?

They're center lock according to his post, I'm not sure though. Best to ask him in person.

the tire places around here tend to suck - it's crazy that I can buy the tires from Tire Rack, ship them to an installer, and get them installed for MUCH less that what the same shop would sell me the tires for. And I always know the tires will be there when I bring in the car.

I've ordered wheels and tires from Tire Rack late Sunday night and received them Tuesday morning, tires mounted balanced and ready to put on the car. They have great customer service too.
